Lauded by no one as the next Jennifer Lopez, Ann Pornel graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science degree, which she has zero intention on using, much to her parent’s dismay.
Ann is an alumnus of the Second City’s Toronto’s Main Stage, writing and performing in critically-acclaimed “Come What Mayhem,” “Everything Is Great Again,” “Party Today, Panic Tomorrow,” and most recently the award-winning “She The People.” She’s been described as “…a right hot blast of funny,” by the Globe and Mail, “refreshingly hilarious,” by Exlaim, and “too loud for her own good,” by most of her friends.
You might have also seen her in CBC’s breakout hit Baroness Von Sketch Show as well as This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Because News and a little show called The Great Canadian Baking Show.
In 2013, Torontoist named Ann as one of Toronto’s “Local Ladies Who Make Us Laugh” and Now Magazine named her as one of Sunday Night Live’s “scene stealers.”
Ann does all this while battling a crippling addiction to glamour, BTS and the Toronto Blue Jays.
Look, Ann isn’t so great at updating her website but she’s great at Instagram so just follow her at @glampornel.
Hello, dear Ann!
I am director of thetaer festival “Funny to tears” in Aurora On. On up coming season I’m planning to open “Show after dinner”- small jazz and comedy club. It will be on last Saturday of each month, starting October. The show will include one hour and 15 min stand up show, music and karaoke singing. Would you be interesting to perform in one of our evenings? If “yes”, how I can connect with you and what would be the price?
Thank you very much
Best regards,
Veronika Presman
